Looking for a remove.bg alternative?

remove.bg is moving into Canva. Its website closes on 1 December 2026, and its pay-as-you-go credits expire that day.1, 2 Its API moves to Leonardo.Ai.3

CRABOY is independent of all three services. The table above shows how it compares.

Batch layout and export

  • One layout for all. Set the canvas ratio (ten, from 1:1 to 16:9, or the photo’s own) and the subject’s scale, alignment, padding and rotation once, for every image.
  • Up to eight exports at once. PNG, WebP or JPEG, each at 0.5x to 4x or an exact size up to 16,384 px.
  • Folders your way. By type, by size, type then size, or one folder; saved to a folder you pick or as one ZIP.
  • The others. Photoroom’s Batch adjusts size and position and exports in one format, PNG, JPEG, WebP or AVIF.10, 16 remove.bg’s desktop app sets a background color and a small or large size.5 Canva downloads the set as transparent PNGs.18

When another fits better

  • You need an API. remove.bg (moving to Leonardo.Ai) and Photoroom offer one.3, 15 CRABOY runs in a browser.
  • You want AI scenes or shadows. Photoroom makes them.15
  • You design in Canva. Its own remover keeps you there.
  • Your computer is slow. CRABOY’s speed is your graphics card’s. It downloads its models once, about 230 MB for Studio; without WebGPU, Studio and Max skip their fine-edge pass.
